Before Your Appointment

    •    Stay hydrated — drink plenty of water before your session.

    •    Avoid shaving the day of your treatment.

    •    Arrive with an empty or light stomach — a small meal a few hours prior is best.

    •    Skip heavy, greasy, salty foods before treatment.

    •    Do not apply lotion, oils, deodorant, or perfume beforehand.

    •    Avoid alcohol the night before, as your liver will be busy processing toxins released during your session.

After Your Appointment

Everyone responds differently — you may feel relaxed, recharged, tired, or even a little achy as your body detoxifies. Listen to your body and give it the care it needs.

    •    Hydrate well — aim for half your body weight in ounces daily.

    •    Gentle movement (walking, yoga, stretching) helps lymph continue flowing.

    •    Rest if needed — your body may crave downtime to recover and heal.

    •    Avoid alcohol and limit caffeine for a few days to support detox.

    •    Avoid heat (hot baths, saunas, etc.) for 24 hours.

    •    Maintain healthy nutrition — eat whole, anti-inflammatory foods.

    •    Support your skin with mild, nourishing care.

    •    Optional: Try “legs up the wall” yoga pose or dry brushing to encourage circulation and drainage.

If you’re feeling unwell, please reschedule — lymphatic drainage is not recommended during the first 24–48 hours of illness. If you ever notice prolonged pain, swelling, or unusual symptoms after a session, please reach out to me or your healthcare provider.

Remember: Lymphatic drainage massage works best when paired with consistent hydration, movement, nutrition, and rest. With each session, you’re supporting both immediate results and long-term wellness.
